2020 Nissan Qashqai Bows In Chicago

Always looking to stay up to date and ahead of the competition, Nissan unveiled the brand-new 2020 Nissan Qashqai at the Chicago Auto Show held in February. The 2020 Qashqai is an evolution rather than a revolution, but it certainly adds features that buyers in Canada and the Maritimes are looking for.

Still powered by a fuel-efficient and fun 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that delivers 141 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque, the new Qashqai gets more features including standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a new grille design that adds a touch of modern sportiness to the Qashqai.

"Our Qashqai is a critical vehicle in Nissan's popular CUV lineup; slotted strategically between the Nissan Kicks and Rogue," said Steve Rhind, director of marketing, Nissan Canada Inc. "We're committed to keeping our crossover/SUV portfolio fresh – which also includes the redesigned Murano, new Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition and flagship Armada. Nissan is on a roll and we're not letting up heading into 2020."

Other features found in the 2020 Qashqai include Nissan’s 360 Safety Shield which includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), radar-based Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and High Beam Assist (HBA). These features will be available on the Nissan SV and SL models.

Other new features include the Rear Door Alert System which prevents the rear passengers from exiting the vehicle if an oncoming car is detected.
